A Message from the Director

Thanks for considering Washington State University! The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships recognize that the pursuit of a college education includes a financial commitment on part of the student and family. We also know that identifying and securing financial resources play a significant role in planning for college. To this end, we are committed to reducing financial barriers and offer students the best financial aid package possible in the form of institution, state, federal, scholarships, employment, and loans.

I encourage you to explore our web site for information about university costs, the types of financial aid that are available, the process, and application requirements. I also invite you to contact our staff by email, telephone, or in person with any questions you might have. We know that a college education is an important investment to students and families and we are prepared to assist in any way possible.

Final Award Letters
The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships has begun sending final award letters. You should be receiving your notification within the next several business days. Please keep in mind that you can accept loans online through the Student Aid section of your myWSU.

EOG Grant Update
Due to required application processing time, the Higher Education Coordinating Board (HECB) must receive completed EOG applications by July 15, 2009 in order to be considered for award.

Students should visit the HECB web site here for more information.
FAFSA Priority Deadline
Important: Our priority filing date for the 2009-2010 FAFSA of February 15th, 2009 has passed. If you have not applied, you should do so as soon as possible to maximize your chances to receive student aid.
Summer Financial Aid
Summer is here! While our priority deadline was February 15th and aid has already been disbursed for the first session, it's not too late to apply. Simply click here for the quick and easy summer financial aid application.
Scholarship Deadline Passed
As of January 31st, the Washington State University scholarship deadline was due. Please keep the January 31st hard deadline in mind for the 2010-2011 application which will open in the Fall of 2009.
