Graduate Types of Aid

  • Students enrolled in graduate programs at Washington State University have the opportunity to fund their educational expenses through a combination of student loan and work-study. The majority of grant funding is reserved by the federal and state governments for first time undergraduate students. However, the federal TEACH Grant is available to qualified graduate students. (See link below for more information on requirements.)

  • Many graduate students are awarded graduate fee waivers to cover tuition costs as well as offered a monthly stipend for living expenses. These waivers are awarded to students through their WSU department of study.

  • In addition, graduate students may borrow up to $18,500 each school year in Federal Stafford Loans to fund their educational expenses.
