Student Right to Know


The Student Right to Know Web site has been created to inform prospective and current students and their parents of their rights and responsibilities in relation to services and programs offered at Washington State University. Information about campus safety, equity in athletics, financial aid, and graduation/retention rates are just a few of the items the University hopes students and parents find useful. In compliance with federal regulation, students will be notified once a semester about the information available on this page. If there are items not included that would be useful, please contact the Office of Student Financial Aid at finaid@wsu.edu.

Your Safety: 
The safety of our students is a priority at Washington State University. This section offers the campus safety report, including crime rates, as well as tips to keep our students secure while they attend the university.

Find out general statistics about Washington State University, facilities and programs offered.
Financial Aid & Scholarship Information: Funding educational expenses can be difficult. These links offer valuable options specific to Washington State University as well as general information through federal and institutional publications. Equity in Athletics: Find out about staffing, funding, participation and graduation rates of athletes, by sport, at Washington State University.
Your Right to Privacy: This section contains information specific to students’ rights and protections under the Federal Education Right to Privacy Act, as implemented by Washington State University. WSU Common Data Set: This report compiled annually by Institutional Research contains valuable information regarding campus demographics, graduation rates, financial aid programs and funding levels, as well as general university statistics.
Accreditation Information: As an accredited university, Washington State University has the ability to offer a wide variety of services and opportunities to its students. Here are the organizations that have accredited Washington State University. Campus Facilities: The map of the Washington State University Pullman campus allows you to browse physical facilities by either building or residence hall. The tour allows you to see significant sights on campus.  The Visitor's Center can assist you with parking issues, contacting WSU area, and other issues.
Drug Abuse Prevention: Washington State University takes drug abuse prevention and education seriously. These links have information about programming opportunities, services available to students who find themselves in an abuse situation, as well as the repercussions of violating state and institutional drug and alcohol policies.
