Washington Award for Vocational Excellence (WAVE)

Information for the 2008-2009
Academic Year
If you're a student at a Washington
high school, skill center, community college, or technical college and
have notable achievements in vocational-technical education, your school
may nominate you for this award. Each year three vocational students
from each legislative district receive the award.
Award
Amounts
- Value
of the award depends on annual funding and the number of eligible
students, but may not exceed your actual tuition and fees, or the
annual undergraduate tuition and fees at public research universities.
- The
grant can be received for up to two academic years (four semesters or
six quarters).

Timetable
- The
application form and information package are available from the
school's vocational administrator, WAVE Coordinator, or counselor.
Applications are due in February.
