Student Work (Employment)
Programs at WSU
Work-Study Programs
-
Work-Study
Programs enable students to help pay their expenses
through part-time work.
-
Work-study eligibility
is a financial aid award program.
-
A student must receive a
Work-Study award in order to participate in the program.
-
The award will
indicate the maximum amount the student may earn during
the award period.
-
This is an
earn-as-you-go program.
-
Students typically
work 10 to 15 hours per week to earn the amount of their
eligibility.
-
Work-study eligibility
is for the term award; it can't be carried over from a prior
term.
-
Students are paid by
check on a bi-monthly schedule based on the hours worked for
the time period.
-
Students must find
their own jobs; positions are not assigned.
-
Employment
opportunities are posted on the Student
Employment Center website (JobX).
-
Most students find jobs
on campus but some do work off-campus. See Off-Campus
Work-Study Employment below.
